Update: The storage migration finished early, and all Windows Home Directories were available by Sunday, July 21 at 8:30 a.m.

From Friday, July 19 at 8 p.m. until Monday, July 22 at 8 a.m., CAEN Windows Home Directories (the N: drive) will be unavailable. You should close any open files being accessed from the online file storage system prior to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 19; all active connections will be automatically closed at that time.

If you use Windows Offline Files you should sync your files to the server and uncheck Always Available Offline in file/folder properties before Thursday, July 18. After the outage is complete, you can re-enable these settings.

During the outage, CAEN Staff will be migrating data on the main College of Engineering online file storage system to an ITS online file storage system. CAEN does not expect any noticeable impact resulting from the migration. In the off chance that you encounter a problem related to this migration after the outage, please report it by emailing
