The power and lighting in the G.G. Brown building will be temporarily shut down as part of the on-going building renovation. The shutdowns will occur in the indicated areas during the following weekends:

  • Saturday, February 14 – Sunday, February 15: Central portion of both first and second levels
  • Saturday, February 28 – Sunday, March 1: Eastern portion of both first and second levels, including first level of civil engineering wing and second level CAEN lab
  • Saturday, March 14 – Sunday, March 15: Western portion of both first and second levels, including the Iacocca lecture hall
  • Saturday, March 28 – Sunday, March 29: Western portion of both first and second levels, including the Iacocca lecture hall

Shutdowns of individual areas will not take more than 4-6 hours each; however, more than one shutdown may affect any given area. Since lighting will be affected by the shutdowns, students, faculty and staff are asked to remain out of the affected areas for safety reasons during this timeframe. Temporary power will be provided for key experimental equipment (that requires uninterruptible power) in the affected areas.
