Starting Tuesday, December 7 at around 10:00 a.m., Amazon Web Services (AWS) starting experiencing an unexpected outage that is affecting many campus services, such as U-M Canvas and the CAEN Lecture Capture Service. For the lecture capture service, this impacts the ability to display new machine-generated captions, while playback and recording are currently unaffected. CAEN staff are monitoring the outage, but there is currently no estimated time of repair.
