CAEN computers located in College of Engineering student computer labs and the Duderstadt Center (DC) will be undergoing operating system upgrades in preparation for the Fall 2017 term, beginning Monday, July 17 through Wednesday, August 23. The specific dates and locations of the upgrades are listed below:
On Monday, June 26 at 5:00 a.m., ITS will be performing upgrades to the wireless (Wi-Fi) network in the NAME building. The upgrades are expected to be complete by Friday, June 30 at 5:00 p.m. During these upgrades, users may experience intermittent drops or degradation in their wireless connection. On Thursday, July 20 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., ITS will be performing maintenance on the electric high voltage substation for the BIRB building. The building should not be occupied during this time due to lighting, ventilation, networking, elevator, and life safety system service interruptions. On Friday, June 23 from 5:00 to 8:00 a.m., ITS will be performing maintenance on the network in the first floor of Lay Auto. During this time, there may be a brief network outage. Further information is available on the ITS Service Status page.
On Thursday, July 13 between 5:00 and 8:30 a.m., maintenance has been scheduled for servers that support the CAEN Lab Software Environment (CLSE). This maintenance is intended to apply security patches, correcting recent operating system and software application vulnerabilities.

Continue Reading »The CAEN computer lab located in Beyster 1695 will be closed on Wednesday, June 14 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. for a private event.
The CAEN computer lab located in EECS 2331 will be closed on Monday, June 12 for room maintenance. It is expected to reopen by Friday, July 28 at 8:30 a.m.
CAEN Windows Home Directories (a.k.a. the “N:” drive) will be unavailable starting Saturday, July 15 at 11:00 p.m. through Sunday, July 16 at 8:00 a.m. During this time, directories will be migrated by ITS to newer hardware.
