ITS has identified a problem in their storage system which is impacting some users when they try to access certain files in network storage. Refer to the ITS Service Status posting for additional information and updates.
Faculty and staff home directories are backed by the ITS MiStorage service. Engineering Base Desktop (EBD) systems automatically mount and use MiStorage in several ways, including transparent redirection of Documents and Desktop folders to MiStorage. Symptoms include long login times, black screen at login, inability to login and inability to access or store certain networked files from one or more computers. If you should experience these problems, contact your local departmental IT support staff, and ask them to submit a ticket to ITS on your behalf.
