Grammarly Access for the College of Engineering

Grammarly is a powerful writing assistant that helps enhance grammar, clarity, engagement, and tone across your documents and digital communications. The College of Engineering now offers Grammarly access for faculty and full-time staff through an institutionally managed license.

Why This Matters

Many users have already adopted Grammarly by creating free personal accounts or by paying for subscriptions out-of-pocket or via PCard. However, these independently created accounts are not covered by a Universityo f Michigan data protection agreement, which poses risks when used with University-related work.

By centralizing Grammarly access through the College of Engineering:

  • All accounts are protected under a University-approved data protection agreement
  • Your use of Grammarly aligns with institutional IT security policies
