Resolved: CAEN Remote Access Service Outage

  • Start: Monday, August 28, 8:00 a.m.
  • End: Friday, September 8, 1:45 p.m.

As a result of the campus-wide network and online services outage, CAEN remote access services continue to be either degraded or unavailable:

  • Windows Remote Desktop Service (caen.midesktop.it.umich.edu)
    • Service is restored.
      • The CAEN Labs 2023 – 8GB Graphics connection remains unavailable while CAEN staff bring it back into service.
    • Off-campus connections now require use of the U-M VPN.
  • Linux Remote Login Service
    • Service is restored.
    • Off-campus connections now require use of the U-M VPN.
