On Saturday, July 11, ITS will be changing the default name “View” name in the BlueCat DNS service, which may affect API users.
Adding a hostname or any DNS record through the API requires the View ID, which is usually obtained by looking up the View by name. There is no way to have two names for a View, so when the View name is changed, any API script or program that uses it will need to be updated at the same time.
