On Wednesday, February 14 at around 9:00 a.m., CAEN started receiving reports of issues with off-campus users of the Engineering Base Desktop (EBD) experiencing poor network performance when connecting to on-campus resources, including mapped drives. It was determined this was related to a performance degradation with the built-in Microsoft DirectAccess VPN service. CAEN staff is working with ITS toward resolution, and a workaround has been found by first connecting to the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client.
