Continue Reading »On Tuesday, April 10 at 6:00 a.m., ITS will be turning off the old DNS Resolver IP address redirects. Computers manually configured with the old addresses will no longer be able to resolve hostnames, which will prevent connections to other computers. UMnet is currently working to resolve an issue with a core router that is impacting many North Campus Virtual Firewall networks. Further information is available on the ITS Service Status page.
On Saturday, April 7 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., there will be a power shutdown in the Engineering Research Buildings 1 & 2 while preventative maintenance is performed. CAEN is investigating an issue with one of the license servers. Licenses for the following titles are not currently available:
This outage will impact use of these applications CAEN Labs, and in College of Engineering departmental and private labs.
The Materials Studio software license will expire at midnight on March 30, 2018.

On Saturday, May 5 starting at 11:00 p.m., ITS will be performing maintenance on a database server that supports the umich.edu AFS cell. The maintenance is expected to be completed by Sunday. On Thursday, March 22 at 9:00 a.m., a failing network device started causing a partial network outage in the FXB building on the third floor. ITS staff are investigating. Further updates can be found on the ITS Service Status page.
