Update – 9/27: The large majority of CAEN computers have been updated with a fix to resolve the SolidWorks virtualization error.
Students are still encouraged to report any errors they may encounter when launching SolidWorks on any CAEN computer.

On Tuesday, September 19 starting at 10:00 p.m., power to the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) building will be shutdown while ITS performs preventative maintenance. Power is expected to be restored by Wednesday, September 20 at 6:00 a.m. Further information is available on the ITS Service Status page.
On Thursday, October 12 between 5:00 and 8:30 a.m., maintenance has been scheduled for servers that support the CAEN Lab Software Environment (CLSE). This maintenance is intended to apply security patches, correcting recent operating system and software application vulnerabilities.

Continue Reading »On Friday, August 25 from 12:00 to 5:00 a.m., ITS will be performing maintenance on the campus wireless (Wi-Fi) network. Brief outages are expected as the work is performed. Further information on this maintenance can be found on the ITS Service Status page.
From 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18 until 8:00 a.m. Monday, August 21, the CAEN Windows Remote Desktop Service will be unavailable while ITS upgrades the underlying VDI infrastructure.

Continue Reading »As of 10:30 a.m., the Duderstadt Center has been experiencing intermittent network connectivity issues. CAEN staff are investigating. Further updates will be available on the ITS Service Status page.
On Saturday, August 26 starting at 11:00 p.m., ITS will be performing maintenance on the AFS production servers. The maintenance is expected to be completed by 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 27. The Pierpont Commons will be closed on Saturday, July 29 while Plant Operations conducts preventative maintenance work. The building will reopen on Sunday, July 30 at 9:00 a.m.
On Thursday, August 3 from 5:00 to 8:00 a.m., ITS will be performing upgrades to the network hardware that supports the BIRB, School of Information North, West Hall, & College of Pharmacy buildings. During this time, all wired and Wi-Fi devices will lose connectivity. Further information is available on the ITS Service Status page.
