Piazza

Features

Piazza is an online forum instructors can use to stimulate and manage class discussions efficiently. It supports organized Q&A that students can access 24/7 and receive answers to difficult questions.

  • Students can post questions, collaborate to edit answers to questions, comment on answers or post follow-up inquiries.
  • Instructors can also answer questions, endorse student answers and edit or delete any posted content.
  • Analytics for usage are available to help instructors assess student participation.

Access

Piazza is integrated within Canvas and available to all U-M instructors. You can add Piazza to your Canvas course site by clicking into the desired course, opening the Settings menu, and clicking on Navigation. Refer to Enabling External Apps for more information.

Note that you must create and configure your Piazza ‘class’ the first time you access the tool in any Canvas course.
